MELBOURNE – MONDAY, 27 JANUARY 2025: Phiv Demetriou proudly announces the launch of Elite Kicking Academy, a groundbreaking program dedicated to helping men and women of all ages improve and master every aspect of their AFL kicking technique. From beginners to advanced players, the academy offers tailored modules to elevate participants’ skills and confidence.
A standout feature of the academy is the integration of the CoachNow app, which provides video analysis to evaluate and refine kicking techniques. With fast response times and personalized feedback, Phiv ensures players achieve rapid improvement in their kicking abilities.
The newly launched website and Instagram account showcase Phiv’s unique, modular approach to kicking mastery. Visitors will find insightful testimonials from parents, coaches, and players who have benefited from Phiv’s innovative techniques. The program is structured into 11 descriptive modules, tailored for beginners, intermediate, and advanced participants, making it accessible for all skill levels.
With over 14 years of experience in the AFL, Phiv brings a wealth of expertise to the academy. His background as a teacher enables him to break down the complexities of kicking into easy-to-learn fundamentals such as grip, ball drop, and follow-through. Phiv’s work has included presenting Nationally on Kicking, presenting at Level 2 Coaching Courses, coaching over 1,000 coaches and AFL players, including elite athletes from the AFL Players Association Course.
Phiv has been instrumental in working on the kicking of AFL stars Jamarra Ugle-Hagan, Buku Khamis, Rhylee West (Western Bulldogs), Darcy Macpherson (Gold Coast Suns), Jack Petrucelle (West Coast Eagles), amongst others. His expertise extends to AFLW players in Lara Hausegger (Sydney Swans), Lulu Beatty (Carlton). His knowledge has also led to roles with the Western Bulldogs Next Generation Academy (NGA), Father Sons, Northern Knights programs for boys and girls, and AFL Victoria Masterclass sessions. Phiv also conducted 12 years of Kicking programs in the Northern Football and Netball League and has presented at a number of other Football leagues.
Elite Kicking Academy also provides private sessions and workshops for schools such as Wesley College and Mentone Grammar, along with presentations at leagues, clubs, and coaching seminars and this has been consistent for the past 15 years.
